Symmetry refers to a shape being the same on both sides of a line or rotating around a central point.

Line Symmetry occurs when one half of a shape is a mirror image of the other half. The line dividing the shape is called the axis of symmetry.

Rotational Symmetry occurs when a shape can be rotated around a central point and still look the same after a certain angle.
