Floatation depends on an object’s density relative to water. An object will:

  • Float if its density is less than water (1 g/cm³)
  • Sink if its density is more than water

Density = Mass ÷ Volume

This simulation lets you enter mass and volume, calculates density, and shows if the object floats or sinks.
